- Accelerating Cloud-Native Telco Innovation Across Europe. This past month was full of events and great news, see below the main ones!
- Sylva Dev Day: A Collaborative Success in London. On March 31, 2025, over 70 participants from more than 20 companies gathered in London for Sylva Dev Day, held ahead of KubeCon + CloudNativeCon Europe. This hands-on event brought together telecom operators, network function vendors, and system integrators to collaborate on advancing Sylva’s open-source framework. The day featured technical deep dives, roadmap discussions, and live demonstrations, fostering a vibrant exchange of ideas and strengthening the community’s commitment to cloud-native transformation.
- WG3 Workshop: Advancing Technical Alignment. In April, the Working Group 3 (WG3) workshop convened to focus on aligning technical specifications and integration strategies within the Sylva project. Participants delved into key areas such as Kubernetes orchestration, CI/CD pipelines, and interoperability standards, ensuring that Sylva’s architecture remains robust and adaptable to evolving telco requirements.
- Sylva’s Impact on TelecomTV. Philippe Ensarguet, Vice President of Software Engineering at Orange, recently discussed the significance of Project Sylva in an interview with TelecomTV. He emphasized Sylva’s role in accelerating cloud-native adoption among European operators, highlighting its contribution to enhancing agility, scalability, and innovation in telecommunications. Ensarguet also addressed the challenges of integration complexity and the need for skilled talent, underscoring Sylva’s importance in overcoming these hurdles.
- Sylva @ FutureNet 2025. Sylva was mentioned in Celfocus Booth and a lot of interest was generated in this Telco focused event.
- AMD and Whitestack Join Forces with Sylva. The Sylva project welcomes AMD and Whitestack as new collaborators, marking a significant expansion of its ecosystem.
